Triaster and Process Navigator Tools Menus

The Triaster and Process Navigator Tools Menu tabs are available on Visio’s Ribbon following the installation of Process Navigator.

Triaster Menu

The menu features the following commands:

Commands Description
Triaster Documents, Enable This is used when converting a non-Process Navigator map into a Process Navigator map.
Auto-Layout Align, centre and evenly distribute shapes on the drawing page. Select the shapes you want to space. If nothing is selected, all shapes will be affected.
Auto-Layout Positional Override This allows you to define absolute or relative positioning for selected shapes. Although you will still be able to move shapes manually after setting positional override values, the settings are restored during subsequent Auto Layout operations.
Shape Properties Display the selected shape’s Properties dialog box. You can also view this by right-clicking on the shape and selecting Properties from the displayed context menu (see Node Properties Window, Activity Properties Window and Deliverable Properties Window).
Drill-Down Create a drill-down from the selected activity. It is the equivalent of double-clicking the activity.
Options Display the Mapping Options dialog box. You can also view this by choosing Tools > Mapping Options from the Map Control Console.
Process Navigator Help Provides access to local Help and Support resources.
Activation Status Displays the date when the current licence for Process Navigator expires.
Check for Updates Checks whether updates are available in a pop-up window.
About Displays the version of Process Navigator in a pop-up window
Support Home Opens the online Triaster Support page in the browser. The dropdown allows you to select FAQs, Knowledgebase and the Support Forum on LinkedIn

Process Navigator Tools Menu

The menu features various Visio commands that may be useful in drawing the maps. Refer to Visio Help for details.

Commands Description
New Opens Visio's File > New dialog.
Pointer Tool Changes the cursor to a Pointer.
Connector Changes the cursor to a Connector.
Connect Shapes Quick way to connect multiple shapes. Click on the first shape in the sequence, hold down shift and click the next shape in the sequence and then the next, etc. Click on the Connect Shapes icon and connectors with the arrows heads will be added between the shapes in the order selected.
Hyperlink Allows Hyperlinks to be added to a shape. Click on the Shape and then the Hyperlink icon. The Hyperlink dialog box appears. See Step 10: Linking to Documents or other Resources for guidance.
Position Allows you to position the shapes relative to each other and to rotate the shapes.
Distribute Middle This allows you to position a shape.
Align This allows you to align shapes relative to each other.
More Layout Options This allows you to configure the layout.
Send to Back For sending a shape to the back of other shapes.
Bring to Front For bringing a shape to the front of other shapes.
Shape Name Allows you to view the Shape name and its Master shape.
Shape Data This allows you to input data into the shape.
Open Stencil This allows you to browse to and open a stencil.
Find This allows you to search for text and other data in the map.
Replace This is for find and replace of text in the map.
Layer Properties This allows you to visible the layers. Each type of shape is on a different layer and you can change properties of the layers.
Size & Position This brings up the Visio Size & Position window.
Page Setup This display the Visio Page Setup Window.
