Feedback Button fails to work or opens wrong application

Symptoms

When pressing the Feedback E-mail button, you may find that it does not open a partly populated email for you to complete and send. It may instead do one of the following:

  • Do nothing
  • Open Chrome
  • Try to open Microsoft Mail
  • Open another application

Probable Cause

The default email program has not been set up correctly for the browser or for Windows. In some browsers, you can set a default email program, others use the Windows Default email app.

Solution

Depending upon the Windows version and your organisation's set up, you may need to make a change in the browser (look for Settings or Options) or in the Windows Control panel. Contact your IT Department.
